At the University of Manchester in England, the student union passed a resolution banning clapping at their events.
It seems the students are worried that the loud noise of clapping and yelling are an issue for those with anxiety or sensory issues.
So instead of clapping, students are now encouraged to use “jazz hands” to show their enthusiasm.
