The streak has come to an end. For the first time in twelve days, the Milwaukee Brewers lost a baseball game on Tuesday night, falling to the Chicago Cubs 1-0.
It was a battle of aces on the mound. Justin Steele started for the Cubs and was able to wiggle out of a few jams to keep the Brewers off the board. On the other side, Corbin Burnes allowed just one run over seven innings. That run came in the first inning and Burnes held the Cubs scoreless the rest of the way.
Unfortunately, Milwaukee couldn’t cash in with runners on base, and thus the nine game winning streak has ended.
Milwaukee has a four-game lead in the division over the Chicago. The series wraps up at Wrigley Field on Wednesday afternoon at 1:20pm. After the game, join Tim Allen with Drew & KB for the Baseball Postgame Show on 973 The Game and the iHeart Radio App.
