Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is reportedly expected to miss multiple weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in Sunday's (November 3) loss to the Atlanta Falcons that is "worse than initially feared," sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero on Monday (November 4).

"#Cowboys QB Dak Prescott’s hamstring injury was worse than initially feared. He is expected to miss multiple weeks, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. In fact, this is not looking like a short-term injury. Cooper Rush is the team’s backup," Rapoport wrote on his X account. "Dak Prescott will get a second opinion. But he's out multiple weeks, and it could be more. Bad news for the #Cowboys."

Prescott was ruled out with 11:08 remaining in the fourth quarter and was seen grimacing on the broadcast replays of a 10-yard completion to Jalen Brooks. The former Mississippi State standout finished Sunday's game with 133 yards and one touchdown 18 of 24 passing, as well as a season-best 30 rushing yards, most of which was recorded on a 22-yard run in the second-quarter, the Cowboys' longest rushing play of the 2024 season.

Rush finished Sunday's game with 115 yards and one touchdown on 13 of 25 passing. The Cowboys dropped to 3-5 with Sunday's loss, their third consecutive and fifth in the last seven games.

Dallas will face the NFC East Division rival Philadelphia Eagles at AT&T Stadium next Sunday (November 10) in their first of two annual matchups.
