Fines linked to Florida's ban on vaccine passports go into effect today. Businesses and local governments that require customers or members to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination can now be fined five-thousand bucks. Those fined have the chance to appeal but if the fine is finalized, they'll have to pay within 30 days. Republican Governor Ron DeSantis signed a law earlier in the year blocking "vaccine passports. Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nunez says there's concern about local governments and businesses that are finding ways to circumvent the ban.
