Marquette announced its updated 2020-21 schedule on Wednesday, which includes games that take place before the end of the calendar year. Marquette will play Wisconsin on December 4.
Here's the press release from the Marquette men's basketball program:
The Marquette University men's basketball team has announced its revised 2020-21 schedule through Christmas, which will feature the program's non-conference slate and first four BIG EAST Conference matchups.
The Golden Eagles' first two home games against Arkansas at Pine Bluff (Nov. 25) and Eastern Illinois (Nov. 27) are part of a co-hosted multiple-team event with Wisconsin, which will also host UAPB and EIU.
Oklahoma State (Dec. 1) and Wisconsin (Dec. 4), opponents previously on the original 2020-21 schedule, highlight the home schedule. Green Bay (Dec. 8) is a recent addition and the team is also holding back one play date in case it becomes necessary to postpone/cancel already existing scheduled games.
The BIG EAST Conference also announced the December schedule for each of its 11 members prior to the league's annual media day. Marquette's conference lidlifter will be Dec. 14 at Creighton and the Golden Eagles will return home to host Seton Hall on Dec. 17. The team will travel to Xavier on Dec. 20 before hosting nationally ranked Villanova on Dec. 23.
Marquette is scheduled to travel to UCLA on Dec. 11 for the first matchup in a home-and-home series that will see the Bruins visit Milwaukee in 2021-22.
