A balanced scoring effort led Marquette past Butler 76-57 on Sunday at Fiserv Forum on National Marquette Day.
Markus Howard, no stranger to being the high scorer for Marquette, led the way with 17 points, but Brendan Bailey and Koby McEwen each had 16 points to help the Golden Eagles pick up their sixth win in seven games.
Marquette shot 45% from long range and made 21 free throws, while Butler attempted only eight. The Bulldogs also shot just 38% from the floor in the game.
After a win over #19 Butler, Marquette could find itself in the rankings when they travel to take on #10 Villanova on Wednesday.
