Down 18 points at one point, the Marquette Golden Eagles used defense to spark a second-half rally in a 65-55 win over Purdue on Wednesday night.
In the second half, Marquette out-scored the Boilermakers 40-17 en route to a big come-from-behind victory. The 18-point comeback is the largest rally under coach Steve Wojciechowski.
Koby McEwen led the way with 23 points, while Markus Howard added 18 for Marquette.
With the win, the Golden Eagles improved to 2-0 on the season ahead of Sunday's match-up with in-state rival Wisconsin.
