Authorities: Taxstone Shot & Killed Troy Ave's Bodyguard

Contrary to previous reports, Taxstone is not being released on bail, New York Daily News is reporting. 

On Monday (Jan. 16), the "Tax Season" podcast host was arrested in connection to Troy Ave's shooting at Irving Plaza last year. Born Daryl Campbell, the podcaster is believed to the man running away from Troy in the infamous shooting video, that shows the rapper firing shots at someone who was fleeing away from him.

Since his arrest, reports have claimed that Taxstone's DNA was found on a gun that was used during the violent night. In fact, Daily News now says that Taxstone killed Troy's friend and bodyguard, Ronald McPhatter. "They doubled down on their arguments Campbell posed a danger to the community and said witness testimony would 'directly show' he fired, at a minimum, the shot that killed McPhatter," the publication reports

The "Tax Season" podcast is now on hiatus. The show tweeted the following statement to fans yesterday:
